(Flash required) Gyrotasking (2010) is a new way to multitask on smartphones by making use of the built-in gyroscope available on modern smartphones. With this feature, the space around the user can be thought of as filled with app screens and the user can simply navigate this virtual wall of apps by pressing the home button and physically moving the phone around them. The gyroscope detects the new position of the phone and switches to the nearest app in the virtual wall. In the demo above, press and hold the "thumb" and move the mouse left or right to navigate the virtual wall of apps.
